Green Peafowl
Paons vert
While the Databse strives to post clear, properly-labeled images of all manner of peafowl, it relies upon the identifications made by owners upon submission of an image. Green subspecies can be difficult to identify, and have the additional confounding factor of mixed breeding in the US further muddying the waters. While the Database may be used as a starting tool, assistance with final identification and preservation of pure greens should be sought from reputable breeders.
Green Peafowl sub-species:
Java Green Peafowl: Pavo muticus muticus
Indochinese Green Peafowl: Pavo muticus imperator Burmese Green Peafowl: Pavo muticus spicifer Greens without proper identification American Green Peafowl |
